How can we shape the future so that we can all live well in our globalized world? What is the importance of nutrition and health, sustainability and environmental chemistry? Which innovative products and processes, plastics and nanotechnology products need to be further researched and developed so that our planet is fit for the future? This profile is aimed at all those who are interested in natural sciences and want to understand the basic concepts and models of our world.
The modern natural sciences are taking up more and more space in our technologized and constantly developing environment. The insight into the functionality and the examination of the risks and consequences of the diverse technical applications create a broadly diversified preparation for studies or training.
A major focus in this profile is the cross-linking between the individual areas of the natural sciences. We will critically examine the limits and consequences that arise not only for the individual but also for society. There is time and space for this in the subjects of physics, chemistry and biology.
In addition to a basic interest, appropriate basics in the natural sciences are of course also important.
In the profile, work is interdisciplinary and project-oriented. Accompanying the semester topics are practical days with and at our cooperation partners to deepen the skills and abilities learned.
