Montessori pedagogy

Help me to do it myself.

"Show me how to do it. Don't do it for me. I can and want to do it on my own. Have patience to understand my ways. They may be longer, I may need more time because I want to make several attempts. Allow myself mistakes and effort, because I can learn from them."

The educational approach of Maria Montessori is an essential part of our school concept.

"Help me to do it myself" supports our students in the active learning process. We regard this principle as the basis for successful learning.

Learning with all senses

Depending on the learning style and pedagogical diagnosis of our students, we offer individual support for individual learners.

The aim is to optimize the students' individual learning process. For this purpose, our dedicated Montessori room is available to each child to support their learning.

The aim is to optimize the students' individual learning process. For this purpose, our dedicated Montessori room is available to each child to support their learning. Our Montessori room allows the students to use a wide range of materials which encourage them to respond. Such vital learner skills as, mathematical thinking, language development, exercises in practical life and the training of the senses with the inclusion of creative-artistic development are all promoted and developed via our trained educators.

The material takes into account the individual stages of development.

Our students develop their own learning and solution identifying strategies. In this way, learning progress is built up continuously and systematically.

Our teachers accompany the students in their development process and guide them towards independent learning, with as much supportive guidance as necessary, whilst promoting independence and risk taking. The teachers only intervene when there is a lack of motivation or disruptions, thus guaranteeing the child an undisturbed learning environment.
